What girl.dad is
girl.dad is a guide to brilliant days out, experiences and the small skills that matter for dads raising daughters (and sons), across the UK and US. We point you to real days out, hand-pick the independent brands worth supporting, and write honest guides on the things dads actually ask about, from doing hair to the big talks.
Who runs it
Gautam Khorana is the founder of girl.dad and a full-stack developer who has spent over a decade building websites. He hand-built this whole site himself, the guides, the directories and the Dad Scores, and keeps it editorial and ad-light on purpose. He builds sites like this one through his studio, and you can follow his journey at gautamkhorana.com.
girl.dad is dedicated to his daughter Tarini, and to Jazz, the beagle he calls his son.
Giving back
girl.dad is free for dads, and we want it to do more than point you to a good day out. A share of the profit from the girl.dad society shop goes to organisations caring for girls who need it most, from homes in India that raise abandoned daughters to foundations that school and protect them. Not every child has someone in their corner, and this is our small way of standing in it. You can read the promise, and who we support, on the giving back page.
How we choose
Everything here is editorial. Brands, days out and guides are chosen on merit, never paid for. When a business does work with us it is clearly a sponsorship or partnership, kept separate from what we recommend. That line is the whole point, and it is why dads can trust what they find here.
